International thermalism is once again looking to Europe, and more specifically to Galicia. Following the resounding success of its last edition in Colombia, Termataliathe International Thermal Tourism, Health and Wellness Fair, it returns to Ourense on September 24 and 25, 2026. Expourense will host the 24th edition of an event established as the premier global platform for promoting sustainable, seasonality-breaking, high-economic-impact health tourism.
This new edition marks a turning point for the sector wellness, serving as a strategic bridge between continents and bringing together experts, companies, and destinations from over 25 countries.

Three key pillars for the future of wellness
True to its DNA, Termatalia 2026 will structure its activities around three fundamental pillars for the growth of the wellness industry:
- Cutting-edge training and knowledge: Within the framework of the fair, the 7th International Congress on Water and Health, will be held, bringing together the world's top specialists in thermal medicine, medical hydrology, and healthy lifestyle trends.
- Real business opportunities: The event will host a new edition of the Specialized Workshop on Health Tourism, connecting destinations with international tour operators. Additionally, the classic International Water Tasting, will take place, reaching its 21st edition by awarding the purity and organoleptic properties of the world's best waters.
- Relational capital: Beyond the numbers, Termatalia has established itself as the premier human gathering point for the “international thermal family,” an ideal space for building collaboration networks and exchanging global synergies.

Next stop: the leap to Latin America in 2027
One of the major attractions of this edition in Ourense will be the presentation and evaluation of international bids to host Termatalia 2027, the year the event will cross the Atlantic again. Although the application period remains open until next September, the iconic region of La Fortuna in Costa Rica has already formally submitted its official bid to become the next epicenter of American thermalism.
For wellness professionals, spa managers, tourist destinations, and healthy lifestyle enthusiasts, Ourense will become an essential stop in September to take the pulse of the industry's future.
