HD Essentia Wellness Connect: a new concept of holistic wellness lands in Fuerteventura

The Canarian group HD Hotels will launch an innovative wellness concept at its hotel in 2026 HD Lobos Natura Fuerteventura, located in Corralejo, in front of the Natural Park of Lobos. This new approach, called HD Essentia Wellness Connectmarks a shift towards a transformative experience that combines health, self-care and connection with nature.

The proposal has been designed by wellness and spa experts Susana Melchor and Fran Lugoin collaboration with the architectural firm Requena and Plazaand will subsequently be rolled out in the rest of the group's hotels.

Well-being with a Canarian identity

Each letter of "Essentia represents one of the islands of the Canary archipelago. HD Hotels' wellness spaces will be inspired by the geography, ecosystem and local culture of each location. The intention is to offer guests more than just a stay: a sensory and emotional experience in harmony with the environment.

The experience will be articulated around three pillars:

  • A inclusive programme of activities and treatments tailored to the profile of each guest.
  • Access to the exclusive HD Essentia Wellness Spa.
  • Holistic wellness proposals distributed throughout the resort.

Three routes to physical and emotional balance

The programme will offer three wellness itineraries inspired by the biodiversity of the Atlantic and the volcanic energy of the island:

  • Alisios RestoredFocus on rest, emotional balance and restful sleep.
  • Lava Renewed Detoxactivities for physical and emotional detoxification.
  • Ocean RevitalisationRevitalising therapies for body and mind, with an emphasis on energy and inner connection.

A sensory sanctuary: HD Essentia Wellness Spa

The heart of the concept will be the spaconceived as a refuge inspired by the volcanic and natural landscape of Fuerteventura. It will include:

  • Seven themed treatment roomseach one set in elements of the local flora and fauna, such as the guirrea bird native to the island.
  • Indoor-outdoor hydrothermal circuitwith sauna, hammam, sensory showers and jacuzzi.
  • Relaxation areas and non-contact treatmentssolarium, beauty salon and zen room.

All the spaces are designed with local materials and criteria of sustainability and universal accessibilityrespecting and integrating into the natural environment. As Melchor explains, "HD Essentia is born out of respect for the environment. We want to offer something accessible, sustainable and unforgettable".

The experience will be complemented by cosmetic products from Skeyndor and the own line Blue Silk.

Wellness beyond the spa

The resort will offer daily classes in sunrise yoga, tai chi, meditation and sound healingalong with personalised training, tailor-made rituals and on-demand fitness sessions.

It will have a outdoor gymnasium equipped for functional training, CrossFit, boxing, spinning and zumba. There will also be paddle tennis, football, volleyball and basketball courts.

Guests will be able to enjoy four pools (salt water, heated and children's) and a water park for children. In addition, the area is ideal for practising surfing and water sports.
