This walk takes you always next to the sea and the rugged coastline. Passing the Punta del Hidalgo lighthouse, a new architectural landmark of Tenerife, a caf\u00e9 and lots of street art to discover, you finally reach the San Juanito hermitage. Here all the accessible paths end and your view can stretch freely over the Atlantic and the rocky coastline to the \"Roque de los dos Hermanos\", the natural symbol of Punta del Hidalgo and the Anaga massif with its rugged peaks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laurel, ferns and narrow paths lure hikers just a few hundred metres from the OC\u00c9ANO Health Spa Hotel<\/a>. This park is characterised by volcanic activity and Mount Teide, which towers above all else. Those wishing to climb the third highest volcano in the world must apply for a permit up to three months in advance. This can be easily applied for on the national park's website. However, as only 200 permits are issued per day, it can also be difficult to get one in August. An alternative way to explore the rugged landscape of the volcanic region is on trail number 11. Numerous other trails criss-cross the national park and offer glimpses into the geological history of the area.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
