{"id":4505,"date":"2025-03-01T18:17:08","date_gmt":"2025-03-01T17:17:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wellnessforum.pro\/?p=4505"},"modified":"2025-03-01T18:17:08","modified_gmt":"2025-03-01T17:17:08","slug":"the-vatican-boosts-longevity-with-global-science-summit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wellnessforum.pro\/en\/el-vaticano-impulsa-la-longevidad-con-una-cumbre-cientifica-global\/","title":{"rendered":"Vatican boosts longevity with global science summit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Vatican<\/strong>The Church, an institution that for centuries has promised its faithful eternal life, seems to be taking a step closer to allowing its representatives to begin to enjoy that eternity here on earth. <br>The <strong>24 March 2025<\/strong>will be held in <strong>Roma<\/strong>in the <strong>Auditorium of the Augustinianum Congress Center<\/strong>the <strong>first <a href=\"https:\/\/vaticanlongevitysummit.org\/\">Vatican Summit on Longevity<\/a><\/strong>. This event will bring together <strong>scientists, Nobel laureates and world leaders<\/strong> to analyse how science and technology can contribute to a more sustainable <strong>healthy, sustainable and holistic ageing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The summit is organised by <strong>the Pontifical Academy for Life<\/strong> together with the <strong>Foundation for Science and Faith<\/strong>and is part of the <strong>Jubilee of Hope 2025<\/strong>The event, a special celebration convened by Pope Francis, seeks to reflect on global challenges from the perspective of faith and knowledge.<br>Participation is free of charge after registration and here you can see the <a href=\"https:\/\/vaticanlongevitysummit.org\/\">programme<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/wellnessforum.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/unnamed.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4507\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wellnessforum.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/unnamed.jpg 700w, https:\/\/wellnessforum.pro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/unnamed-300x116.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>An event that brings together science, ethics and spirituality<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Confirmed participants include <strong>Shyn'Ya Yamanaka<\/strong>Nobel Prize in Medicine in 2012 for his discoveries on <strong>cellular reprogramming<\/strong>, y <strong>Venki Ramakrishnan<\/strong>Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2009 for his research into the <strong>ribosome structure<\/strong>. Alongside them, leading researchers and leaders in biotechnology, artificial intelligence and longevity will discuss advances in <strong>regenerative medicine, prevention of age-related diseases and improvement of quality of life in advanced stages of life<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the summit is not only conceived as a one-off event, but as a <strong>the first step of an ambitious global project<\/strong> led by the Vatican in collaboration with leading scientific and academic institutions. The initiative seeks to promote a <strong>longevity model<\/strong> based on the integration of <strong>science, ethics and spirituality<\/strong>ensuring that advances in health and technology not only prolong life, but also make it easier for people to live longer. <strong>enrich in terms of quality and dignity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>A shift in the Church's view of eternal life?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>It is striking to note how the <strong>Catholic Church<\/strong>which for centuries has focused its message on the promise of eternal life in the hereafter, now seems to be interested in prolonging earthly life. <strong>Is this a shift in approach to religious doctrine or simply a recognition of the importance of health and science?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Perhaps in the not-too-distant future, we will see <strong>bishops participating in marathons<\/strong> or to <strong>cardinals interested in cryopreservation<\/strong>all in the name of longevity and holistic health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the meantime, the faithful can rest assured: if science and faith manage to align their goals, the wait for eternal life could become much longer than previously thought.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>El Vaticano, instituci\u00f3n que durante siglos ha prometido a sus fieles la vida eterna, parece estar dando un paso m\u00e1s para que sus representantes comiencen a disfrutar de esa eternidad aqu\u00ed en la Tierra.
