In 2025, biotechnology is writing a new chapter that connects directly to major health and wellness trends. Bioiberica<\/a>the Barcelona-based global company, celebrates 50 years of history with a rebranding that is not just a change of image, but a reflection of its deeper purpose: \"For a healthier and safer world\".<\/em>. Under the slogan We are all one<\/em>The new identity focuses on an idea that resonates more and more in the field of wellness: health is not individual, but a network that connects people, animals and planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 1975, Bioiberica has been a pioneer in the research and production of biomolecules of natural origin, making progress in fields as diverse as medicine, nutrition and agriculture. One of its major milestones is the production of heparin, an active ingredient that contributes to saving more than 100 million lives a year by preventing and treating thrombosis. But its impact is not limited to hospital medicine: other developments, such as glucosamine and chondroitin sulphate, form part of supplements that help keep joints strong and flexible, the key to active, pain-free longevity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company has made innovation its driving force, with more than 40 ongoing R&D projects and collaborations in more than 30 research centres around the world. These advances seek not only new molecules and active ingredients, but also formulas that enhance our everyday well-being, from skin care to the vitality of our pets to the resilience of the crops that sustain our food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of this is developed under a unique circular economy model that guarantees maximum quality and safety at every stage, from the biological origin of the raw materials to the final product. A transparent and traceable supply chain that not only meets the most demanding standards, but also minimises environmental impact, in line with a more conscious and sustainable lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 50th anniversary was also a time to celebrate the human behind the science. At its Palafolls headquarters, Bioiberica organised a Family Day for employees and families, an open day with tours of the facilities, activities and a shared meal that reinforced the sense of community. A reminder that, behind every scientific breakthrough, there are people who put their passion at the service of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this new phase, the company is also launching a revamped website that projects its identity to the outside world with greater clarity and transparency. The platform offers a more fluid and adapted experience to its customers in the three main business areas: people, animals and plants, thus showing in an integrated way what its vision of the company means.
