Longevity Med Summit in Lisbon confirms its leadership as an international forum for longevity medicine

The third edition of the Longevity Med Summit was held in Lisbon from 6 to 8 May 2025, consolidating itself as an international reference event in longevity medicine, wellness and preventive health. With more than 500 attendees from around the world, including doctors, researchers, entrepreneurs and representatives of specialised clinics, the congress provided a space to discuss the latest innovations in health and longevity.

The event was opened by its founder and CEO, Jorge LimaHe expressed his satisfaction at bringing together renowned experts to address current and ethically relevant issues, such as planning for the future of health.

The summit programme comprised three thematic days:

6 May: healthy architecture and wellness hospitality

The opening day focused on how built spaces can promote longevity and wellbeing. Jean-François Garneau opened the cycle with the presentation "The Best Real Estate Amenity? Living Longer"highlighting how real estate design can be a tool for a longer and healthier life. Chris Romer-Lee advocated for healthier cities in "The Right to Swim: Why all Cities should be swimmable".highlighting the importance of accessible aquatic spaces. Aleksandrs Sihmans explored opportunities for welfare-oriented real estate investment in "Investing in Wellness Real Estate.

In the afternoon session, Christina Amara presented "Wellness Beyond Wallsfocusing on the design of spaces that support personalised longevity. Piers Schmidt offered a critique of the welfare market in "The Emperor's New Wellness".. Matt Aspiotis Morley discussed healthy interiors concepts in "Wellness Interiors and Healthy Building Concepts".. Asif Iqbal provided practical guidance on "How to Navigate the Challenges in the Longevity Space"..

The day concluded with a panel on the use of diagnostics for personalised longevity experiences, with the participation of Romina Papalambrou, Iain De Havilland, Erin Lee y Alina M Hernandez. Anna Bjurstam explored the integration of clinical practice with wellness services in "The Healthcare Power Couple. Laszlo Puczko discussed the convergence of hospitality and health care in the "Wellbeing, Nature and Business".. Céline Vadam closed with strategies for cost-effective wellness concepts in "Crafting for Wellness Profitability"..

7 May: Brain health, diagnostics and wellbeing

The second day was devoted to medical interventions in longevity. Dr. Robert Hariri presented advances in stem cell therapies. Anna Bjurstam of Six Senses discussed the integration of wellness practices in hospitality environments. Simone Gibertoni from Clinique La Prairie shared holistic approaches to longevity.

Sessions included topics such as calorie restriction, intermittent fasting, nutrigenomics and Blue Zones diets. Future trends in sleep medicine and related interventions were explored.

8 May: Women's regeneration, nutrition and health

The final day focused on regeneration, NAD+, nutrition, fasting and women's health. Elizabeth Yurth, MD of the Boulder Longevity Institute discussed regenerative therapies. Gordan Lauc of GlycanAge presented research on glycans as biomarkers of ageing. Nikolina Lauc addressed the role of hormones in biological ageing.

Sessions also covered topics such as mitochondrial health, NAD+ in women's health, cell membrane health and cellular senescence in women.
