Málaga Pavilion, a magnificent place to experience the Solheim Cup 2023

Lhe capital of the Costa del Sol has joined the most important women's golf tournament, to be held from 18 to 24 September at Finca Cortesín, by naming what will be the event's busiest pavilion after itself.

The Real Club de Golf de Guadalhorce has been the setting for the presentation of the "Málaga Pavilion", the new name of what will be one of the most visited places of the Solheim Cup 2023 and with which Málaga City Council joins the celebration of the most important tournament in women's golf. The event was attended by D. Pablo MansillaPresident of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation; Mr Ángel Gancedo ArjonaPresident of the Real Club de Golf de Guadalhorce; Mr Jacobo FloridoCouncillor for Tourism of Malaga City Council;  D. Manuel CardeñaManaging Director of Acosol, and D. Iñigo AramburuGeneral Manager of Sport and Business. 

Ángel Gancedo, began by welcoming all the attendees and highlighting that the best women's golf tournament in the world brings together more than 75,000 people throughout the week, is a success and a great showcase for the province of Málaga. Íñigo Aramburu, stressed "the importance of the name of Malaga, one of the most important cities in Andalusia, and a province especially linked to golf, joining this tournament that will be played for the first time in Spain, and even more so by naming the most important pavilion of the event. Jacobo Florido brought the event to a close, pointing out that Malaga had to join the most important women's golf event in the world, and will do so by naming the main pavilion of the event, which will be located next to the 16th hole and will be called the Malaga Pavilion.

We are very happy to show the world and all the spectators what Malaga is all about. The 16th hole is one of the most decisive in the history of the Solheim Cup. In this case, it is a fantastic and very demanding par 4 that will undoubtedly be decisive for the outcome of the 2023 edition at Finca Cortesín. There, Malaga will have a pavilion near the green, where in addition to enjoying golf during the days of competition, fans will be able to visit from Monday to Wednesday the "BataCola" exhibition presented by the Fashion Art Institute. A modern fusion between fashion and art; all of this seasoned by the best gastronomy of Malaga so that the fans who come to enjoy the Malaga lifestyle. The seven-day passes to access this pavilion, called "Malaga Pavilion Ticket", were sold out six months ago and during the tournament more than 3,000 people will pass through its facilities.
